Recognizing Excellence in Union Construction

The Construction Institute’s Pride in Construction Project of the Year Award program recognizes projects that have been constructed in Massachusetts using union contractors and workers that have had a positive impact on the construction industry, the community, and the clients we serve.

Beatley Library: A rendering of the Beatley Library at Simmons College.The CarruthTCI's first Pride in Construction award was conferred in 2007 to the Lee Kennedy Company for its exemplary work on the Simmons College Beatley Library project.

TCI presented the 2008 Pride in Construction award to developer Trinity Financial for The Carruth, a transit-oriented building project that transformed a blighted neighborhood parcel in Dorchester. The building includes approximately 10,000 square feet of neighborhood retail services and 116 units of mixed income housing on a parcel that is directly adjacent to the Ashmont Peabody Square MBTA transit center.  CWC Builders was construction manager on the project.
